Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Himalaya Packaging collects when you use www.himalayapackaging.com or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to answer enquiries and supply packaging, and we do not sell personal data.
01Who we are
Himalaya Packaging is a corrugated packaging manufacturer based at 25, Gopinath Industrial Estate, Behind Pawan Estate, Bakrol Bujrang, Ahmedabad 382433, Gujarat, India. We decide how and why the personal data described here is processed, which makes us the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
02What we collect
Information you give us. When you send an enquiry through one of our website forms — quote, contact or callback request — we collect:
- your name, company name, phone number, email address and country;
- the product you are interested in, the approximate quantity and the delivery city and country;
- for a scheduled callback, the date and time you would like us to call;
- anything you write about what you are packing, its weight, dimensions and route.
We also receive whatever you choose to share when you call us, email us or message us on WhatsApp — for example drawings, photographs or artwork.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, our analytics tools record how the site is used: pages viewed, time on page, the website that referred you, and general device information such as browser type, screen size and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.
With a form submission. When you send a form we also record the page you sent it from, your browser and device type, your IP address and an approximate location (city and region) looked up from it. This helps us answer you and protects our forms from spam.
Contact links. When you tap our phone number, email address, WhatsApp link or map link, we record which link it was, the page you were on and your browser and device type, so we know which ways of contacting us are used.
03How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry, prepare a specification and send a quotation;
- to email you a copy of your enquiry when you send it;
- to make and deliver samples and orders, and to arrange freight;
- to contact you about an enquiry or order you have placed with us;
- to keep business, accounting and tax records we are required to keep by law;
- to understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
04Consent
By submitting a form, calling, emailing or messaging us, you consent to us using your details for the purposes in section 3. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us (section 12). Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may still keep records the law requires us to keep.
05Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which sets the cookies below to count visits and see how the site is used. They do not contain your name or contact details.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first: until you accept, these cookies are not set. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page; the choice itself is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. Google also offers an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
06Third-party services
Some parts of the site are provided by other companies, which receive basic technical information such as your IP address when those parts load:
- Google Fonts — supplies the typefaces the site is set in.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — see section 5.
- Google reCAPTCHA — checks that our forms are sent by a person, not a program. It loads when you start using a form and sends Google information about your browser and how you use the page. Google’s privacy policy and terms apply.
- ip-api.com — turns the IP address of a form submission into an approximate city and region (section 2).
- Google Maps — the map on our contact page. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
- WhatsApp — if you message us on WhatsApp, your message is handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy as well as this one.
- Facebook and Instagram — links to our pages there; nothing is loaded from them until you click.
Each of these companies processes data under its own privacy policy.
07Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed:
- with the providers who host our website and email, and supply our analytics, acting on our instructions — including Brevo, which delivers our enquiry emails;
- with Clients Now Technologies, the agency that builds and maintains this website, which receives a copy of website enquiries and keeps our enquiry records on our behalf;
- with transport and logistics partners, to deliver samples and orders to the address you give us;
- with our accountants and advisers, for records we must keep; and
- with government or law-enforcement authorities where the law requires it.
08How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to answer your enquiry and serve you as a customer, and order and invoice records for as long as tax and company law requires. After that the data is deleted. If you ask us to delete your details, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep them. To protect our forms from spam, the website keeps a short record of submission times by IP address, cleared after two days, and a log of rejected submissions, which is reviewed and cleared regularly.
09How we protect it
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiry details is limited to the people who need them to answer you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will act promptly on any breach, including informing you and the authorities where the law requires.
10Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
- correct or complete data that is inaccurate or out of date;
- erase your data, where we no longer need it and the law does not require us to keep it;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of death or incapacity.
To use any of these rights, contact us as set out in section 12. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
