01Our approach
Box quality is decided before the first sheet is corrugated
Most corrugated failures are not manufacturing faults. They are the wrong board for the load: a box that was made exactly as ordered, and ordered by size alone. So our quality work starts at the specification — the load, the route and the handling decide the ply, board grade, flute and bursting strength.
Once that specification is agreed in writing and a physical sample has passed with your own product, every run is made to it. Repeat orders are held to the approved specification rather than re-quoted from memory, so a delivery months later matches the first one.

02The measures
What every specification states
These are the figures your quality team can hold us to. Each is written on the specification before tooling is cut.
Board construction
3, 5, 7 or 9 ply — the number of liners and fluted layers, and the first decision for any load.
Board grade
Paper weight in grams per square metre, for liners and flutes. Heavier grades carry more, and cost more, so it is matched to the load rather than maximised.
Bursting strength
The pressure the board withstands before it ruptures — the standard measure of how well a box resists puncture and rough handling.
Flute profile
A, B, C or E, alone or combined. It sets the balance between cushioning, stacking strength and print surface.
Dimensions
Internal length, width and height, taken from your part and its insert, so the product fits without play.
Artwork and colours
For printed boxes, the approved artwork and number of colours, run on our own offset press.
03Before bulk
You approve a physical box, never a drawing
The sample is where a specification proves itself — with your product in it, on your line, before any bulk run is committed.
Brief
You share the part weight, dimensions, route and handling. Photographs help more than a size.
Specification
We write down ply, grade, flute, bursting strength and dimensions, with a delivered price.
Sample
A physical box to test with your own product. If it falls short, the specification changes, not the promise.
Production
Bulk runs to the approved specification, and every repeat order to the same one.
